Miguel Chavez, CPA

President

Miguel Chavez is the President and founder of Miguel A. Chavez, PC, a Certified Public Accounting firm dedicated to assisting businesses and nonprofit organizations of all sizes with their reporting and tax requirements. Mr. Chavez graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Texas A&M International University and a Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy from the same University.

In 2014, he became a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and he is currently a member of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Laredo Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Mr. Chavez is also an Investment Adviser Representative and holds a license from FINRA since 2015 providing financial and retirement planning advice to individuals with a large variety of goals.

Miguel A. Chavez, PC specializes in accounting services; preparation of personal and business tax returns; representation with the IRS in examinations and audits; and preparation of personal and business financial statements, compilations, and reviews.

Ercilia Zamudio

Staff Accountant

Ercilia Zamudio is an Accountant, Income Tax Assessor and Audit Assistant for Miguel Chavez, PC. She reviews and maintains accounting records for our clients through bookkeeping, payroll, federal and state tax payments. Prior to joining CPA Miguel Chavez, Ms. Zamudio worked for a local developer company in Laredo, TX. Palo Fierro, LLC as an office manager. Ms. Zamudio holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Texas A&M International University where she is currently pursuing her Masters in Professional Accounting.

Stephanie A. Garza

Staff Accountant

Ms. Garza graduated in May 2017 from Texas A&M International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Ms. Garza joined Miguel A. Chavez, PC as an intern late January 2017 and was hired by the founder of the firm soon after the completion of the internship. Her responsibilities include preparing payroll, general accounting duties for small and large entities, and specializes in personal and business tax returns.

Ms. Garza will be pursuing her Master’s degree in Accountancy and becoming a Certified Public Accountant so that she can assist clients with financial decisions.
